Use Twitter to Market and Convert Your Twitter Followers into DollarsJuly 07, 2016
Did you know if you often use a specific hashtag in your tweets that get a lot of engagement, Twitter will start to keep your tweets at the top of that hashtag search hours after your tweet went out while all the other tweets get pushed down quickly and disappear?
Make sense right?
Doesn't seem like much either, but:
I learned this and a few other poignant points from a book written by Social Quant's CEO Mike Kuwala, and David Boutin.
DIY MarketingSocial media is DIY marketing and regardless of what you might believe, social media is a marketing tool and is as effective as billboards, TV commercials and other traditional marketing methods.
For some, even better especially as it doesn't cost as much and has a greater reach.
Everyone has a preferred social media platform and some vehemently refuse to budge from their stance as to which is the best.
There shouldn't be a war, but a focus on finding and implementing the correct strategy, finding your audience, and providing them with value.
However, in this debate, there is one common thread.
Social media helps to reach and engage with a vast amount of targeted people worldwide.
There are over 90 social media platforms and they all exists because there is a demand.
With this continued demand, they will continue to thrive because businesses in the modern marketplace use them to generate leads.
One such platform is Twitter.
Twitter is a powerhouse for generating leads and engaging with customers. Some companies go as far as to use it as their customer support portal.

However, there are a few more things to learn because one can't know too much and mastering Twitter could propel you along your road to a dot com lifestyle of success.
And that's what "Twitter Marketing Sells: How to Convert Twitter Followers into Business Dollars" does.
It's like a roadmap to success for Twitter marketing.
Did you know you can have a pinned tweet to your profile?
According to these guys you can and they'll show you how.
Don't be a Hash-Hole
Time is too short to make all the mistakes yourself.
That's why vicarious learning is a great way to gain experience.
And that's what this book does.
It combines the experiences of others failures and successes and provide us with an actionable roadmap to Twitter marketing success.
My take away is how a simple @mention can have an enormous impact on an article, profile, and the profile owners opportunities.
Each chapter is stocked with actionable steps, links, tools, and bonus tips from persons who have been rocking it on Twitter.
It makes me want to stop and implement, yet keep reading all at the same time.
The listed tools are to help with an action. For example: To find relevant and valuable hashtags it mentions hashtagify.me. There are also articles to supplement points.
But best of all, it teaches you how not to be a hash-hole.
According to the urban dictionary, a hash-hole is "poor quality posts combined with overuse of unhelpful hashtags".
About Twitter Marketing That Sells: How to Convert Your Twitter Followers into Business Dollars
The title of the book suggests I can use Twitter to convert my followers into business leads and that it can help me do that.
The authors purposes for writing the book as mentioned in the preface were met and surpassed.
Mike and David over delivered because I was expecting the same old lame old information touted by "influencers", but got:
- valuable actionable information with explanations,
- step-by-step instructions, and
- images where appropriate to aid understanding.
The general field of the book is "Business and Money" and it fits in nicely rushing to the number one position on Amazon on its first day on the market.
Written from the point of view of someone who has used Twitter to market successfully with a dash of failures for spice, adds authenticity.
The table of content is organized topically and the style of writing makes it easy to read and understand.
The book covers:
- Twitter Chat,
- Twitter Cards,
- How to use Twitter to grow Facebook fan base
- How to use Twitter to grow your Youtube channel
If you're looking for information to use Twitter as a marketing platform then this book is right for you because it will show you how others have used it, as well as how you can too.
This book has accomplished what many paid Twitter Marketing courses strive to do.
As a reviewer stated on Amazon, the book is "strategic, smart and simple".
Here's what another user had to say:
What I Don't Like About the Book
What I don't like are:
- the typographical errors such as the repeating of a phrase within a sentence and
- that I can only search for "location" in the Kindle Cloud Reader, and not by keyword in the search window.
Surprise!!!There is a nice little surprise in the book.
No, I won't tell you, because then it wouldn't be a surprise now, would it?
Will there be a second edition?
Is the book helpful?
A resounding yes.
Is it worth the price?
Hell yes! It's a steal.
Is it worth my time?
Oh yes, as long as you're looking to grow and earn with Twitter.
You can even give it as a gift. There are principles that not only speaks to Twitter but any social media site that uses hashtags like Instagram.
I've grown my Twitter followers by 360% manually with a few principles covered in this book.
What will happen when I implement some more of these strategies and pair it with automation?
This book is a good way to start growing your Twitter account, and an excellent read to empower you to make a more informed decision if you decide to purchase a Twitter course.
I strongly suggest you get a copy.
And remember, don't be a hash-hole!
