30 Awesome Quotes: Inspiring You Through Your Mindset

April 01, 2016

It's wonderful to be able to put a smile on someone's face or joy in their hearts. It can be surprising the things we do that inspires others.

The Power of Mindset

Over the years, situations occur that causes you to pause, reflect and re-evaluate.

You are not the only one, as I too participate in this exercise.

What I've found is words and images are powerful.

For instance, I'm in a funk as to why I can't get traffic.

No matter what I try my rankings will not improve.

In such instances, I turn away from the problem and do something I love. Whether it be:
  • reading mystery and spy novels;
  • watching a favorite movie - sometimes the entire series of Die Hard, Rush Hour, Taken, Walking Dead, or the A' Team;
  • gardening;
  • photography;
  • DIY project; or
  • simply sleeping it off.
But the one thing I've found is, after these activities, I always go back to the problem with a different mindset

This mindset is the game changer!

Allowing me to tackle the problem from a new angle and overcoming it too.

I remember studying for a Math final and couldn't figure out how they arrived at the answer on the answer sheet.

I worked at that problem for days until I became a nuisance to the family.

I would rant about this simultaneous equation problem to anyone who would sit long enough to listen.

I kept this up until I was banished.

When that happened, I ranted to the birds and the bees and the flowers and the trees. Literally.

Finals were coming up soon and I was yet to figure this out.

Feeling hopeless and dejected I moped off to bed. Only to spring up scrambling to get my notebook.

I didn't even need the textbook to copy the problem as I knew it by heart.

There I sat happily solving that problem step-by-step.

Of course, I rushed into my mom's room and showed her my solved simultaneous equation. She was ecstatic and relieved.

Also, we were both able to see the error I was making.

Needless to say: I aced that exam!

Traffic Solutions to Grow My Blog

Every problem has a solution.

It's only to find it.

To solve getting traffic to my blog:
  •  I brainstorm. What am I overlooking that I can afford to do?
  • Take notes. I make a note of what happens in the brainstorming session. Sometimes I record myself and replay at a convenient time like when I'm cooking or doing the laundry.
  • I think of traffic as it relates to vehicles.
  1. Am I on the correct route to get to my destination?
  2. Is there another safe route I can use?
  3. Is my vehicle capable of undertaking the journey?
  4. Do I have the correct infrastructure to support the load?
  • SEO.
  • Page load time.
  • Layout or blog design.
  • Weight of page-elements.
  • Content quality.
  • Are CTAs effective?
  • Are my social media sharing and following buttons easy to find?
  • Am I making it too difficult for my readers to leave a comment?
  • Are there intrusive ads?
  • Guest posting.
  • Commenting on forums and other blogs.
  • Links from other sites.
  • Am I leveraging Social Media?
These are a few of the questions I ponder before I go back to reviewing a host of information gathered during my research phase.

If  I've tried most of those techniques, I start the research process all over again.
